a collection of poetry which feels ethereal

I.

The world is so chilly

As I crush frozen pine leaves

At my footstep

The wind howls, dismal

The clouds, somberly grey

An angel peers down in scorn

Cold, white marble, carved intricate

I lay on the snowy path

And snowflakes seem ephemerally beautiful

My eyes gleam with a diminishing spark

The bitter chill bites my skin

I feel so alive

II.

A wisp of breath

And a movie score

For 7 minutes of ecstasy

His wings are clipped

after he fell from the sky

And now, he's being liberated

Once again

Angels loom upon him.

III.

Eternal winter night,

perched on the chasm's edge,

a wan woman, lay complacent,

fading foggy breath,

the falling vorpal petals of snowdrops

pierce her delicate glowing skin

and she beams

amidst the frigid carpet

as if she were the sun.

as if an angel held her like a child.
