eventual congruence
My body is weighing me down as I crumble slowly. I am sinking into this chasm, pitch dark and chilly. Yet when I look at the pearlescent sky it gives me a sense of relief. I lose myself into the trippy patterns forming in my eyes, those squiggly things which float overcast. A chill runs down my spine, yet it’s so comforting. The sun is smiling at me now. Behind the silver-laced clouds. Tell me a story. Raindrops trickle, heralding a soon to be downpour. I saw a glimpse of the rainbow beaming. I saw a glimpse of life in the prismatic droplets. I saw a glimpse of the bigger picture in the sky. I fought the marine depths to swim back up. I fought gravity and I was winning. Preparing for the rise. And everything’s in its right place.
