falling into place

somewhere in these eyes, they're by your side

I.

Seed, watered and nurtured,

Nutrient deprived, a little perhaps,

You were trying to fly, chipped wings,

Falling into place.

II.

Taxidermists, covers,

Lambs wool,

Deadening souls live,

Falling into place.

III.

He consumes your world,

Then leaves a void in your soul,

The scars and big holes,

Falling into place.

IV.

Torn notes, loud regret,

Bleed in ink, tears of red,

Doll parts, dismantled like you,

Falling into place.

V.

Hospital beds and the fever’s unrest,

Why do you worry, my little loon,

Your existence wasn’t a bane, but a boon

Falling into place.

VI.

The major’s rise,

And the echocardiogram’s fall,

Harmonic minor scales of requiems

Falling into place.

Call it fate, call it karma,

But somewhere in those eyes,

He was by your side,

Falling into place.
